Project Superintendent / Journeyman Plumber Position Details


  • Project superintendents are journeyman plumbers who are tasked with managing the workforce of a specific site.  Project superintendents work directly with the Project Manager and General Contractor to estimate time, material, and labor costs, and ensure satisfactory delivery of completed projects.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Adhere to, teach, and maintain proper safety procedures with job crew
  • Work with Project Manager and Purchasing Manager to coordinate material and supply deliveries
  • Coordinate with General Contractor and Project Manager to meet construction budget by monitoring project expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions
  • Refines calculations of resources required while resolving design problems and evaluating and implementing change orders


  • Requires vocational training after high school, or equivalent experience, resulting in journeyman level expertise
  • Ability to read and interpret a variety of instructions as well as an understanding of basic math; must work within precise standards
  • Must continuously update job knowledge by understanding emerging construction practices and standards
